Generally at auto shows there are presented many concepts that are spectacular and incredibly beautiful. But few of them are actually functional. Except for this one: Audi Prologue is the living proof that you can have magic on the streets. Really modern magic!
The beauty behind this concept is represented through 3 concepts: simplicity, modernity and “timeless but progressive.” Exterior designer, Parys Cybulski stated in an interview that this Audi is central, “more flattened down between the wheels and the way it stands suggests that the wheels have all the power.” You cannot spell Audi without thinking of power.
All this majestic presence is compressed in just 16.7 ft (way shorter than the current A8). But this is not all that Prologue has to offer. It also includes highlighted hood rests, hexagonal grille, squinting laser-matrix headlamps, diamon-shaped air intakes and a central blade that controls the left and right spoilers.
The exterior and interior design are extremely attractive but the engine is also important when it comes to this beauty. It features an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission, quattro permanent AWD, 605 HP and a V8, 4-liter engine. All this junk pushes the Prologue from 0 to 62 mph in just 3.7 seconds. And the surprises don’t stop here: Audi has a 48-volt electrical subsystem that helps it use 8.6 l/100 km delivering 516 lb-ft (700 Nm).
There are a million things to say about this Audi, but some pictures have the ability to do it way better. What do you think?
